RAPAPORT... Hong Kong-based
jeweler Luk Fook has reelected Wong Wai Sheung as its chairman, the company said Tuesday. 
Wong, 66, is also Luk Fook’s CEO and executive director, responsible for strategic planning and management. He holds several positions in the Hong Kong jewelry trade, including honorary chairman of the Hong Kong Gemstone Manufacturers’ Association.
Tse Moon Chuen —
who, like Wong, is a founder of the company — also received backing to continue
as deputy chairman, the jeweler said. Both appointments took effect on
August 20.
Luk Fook has more
than 1,500 shops in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Korea,
Malaysia, the US, Canada and Australia, it said.
