A 10.90-carat diamond will star as the centerpiece of the upcoming jewelry sale at Skinner Auctioneers.

The emerald-cut, J-color, VS1-clarity diamond ring is estimated to fetch up to $250,000 at the November 16 Important Jewelry auction, the US-based company said last week. A ring with a pear-shaped, 6.20-carat solitaire diamond, flanked by tapered baguette diamonds, will also go under the hammer. That piece is valued at $70,000 to $90,000, while a marquise-cut, 4.10-carat diamond ring is estimated at up to $10,000.

Meanwhile, a number of Colombian emeralds will be on offer at the auction. A ring by Tiffany & Co. with a large cushion-shaped pyramidal cabochon emerald center stone, bracketed by diamonds, carries a high valuation of $35,000. An emerald and diamond ring by Trabert & Hoeffer-Mauboussin is estimated at $40,000 to $60,000, while a Cartier emerald and diamond ring is expected to garner up to $10,000.

Other notable items include a Castellani gold necklace in the Archeological Revival style popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, designed as a fringe of alternating micro-mosaic plaques and urns. That jewel has a high valuation of $30,000. A diamond tiara descended from a prominent New England family will be on offer for up to $20,000, and a rock crystal diamond brooch by designer Rene Boivin has an upper estimate of $35,000.
