RAPAPORT... Swiss watchmaker Tissot launched its Madison Square Garden watches during the unveiling of Tissot' s new lobby clocks in the Arena Box Office in New York. The new timepieces will be available beginning mid-December, exclusively at Madison Square Garden, Macy's Herald Square, and online at www.TissotShop.com. Tissot's brand ambassador, Danica Patrick (photo center), presented the first watches to retired local team legends, New York Knicks' player Larry Johnson (photo right side) and New York Rangers' Adam Graves (photo left). Two styles of watches were created, featuring a custom case back. Tissot is the official timepiece of Madison Square Garden. "Tissot is excited to continue its partnership with Madison Square Garden and to be able to give fans a quality Swiss timepiece inspired by The World's Most Famous Arena," said Francois Thiebaud, Tissot's president. "We are honored to be part of Phase II of the transformation of The Garden, which now includes the new Tissot lobby clocks. New Yorkers and visitors can both count on us to provide the time during home games. We will also provide a countdown to any tip-off and face-off, on the outdoor marquees." Greg Economou, the executive vice president of corporate sales and solutions for The Garden Sports, added, "Tissot is a valued partner of Madison Square Garden, and we are excited to have collaborated with them to bring fans an original new watch to help ensure they are on time to see their favorite teams and events at The Garden," The Madison Square Garden case backs are presented on two new collections that were launched at the Basel Fair 2012 -– the Tissot PRX Sports Chronograph and the Tissot T-Touch Classic. Fans will have the choice between four models of the Tissot PRX Chronograph for $595 to $695 or three variations of the Tissot T-Touch Classic for $675 to $695.
