Botswana's Diamond Exports -69% in January

RAPAPORT... Botswana’s diamond exports plunged 69 percent year on year in January to $109 million, according to figures released by the Bank of Botswana. The downward trend followed a fourth-quarter drop in  diamond export value of 33 percent to $775 million.

The bank’s data is a representative sample of the country's full diamond trade and is sourced from the Diamond Trading Company Botswana, Leo Schachter Botswana, Teemane Manufacturing Co., and the Central Statistics Office.
