GIA to Present New Grading System at DMIA

(Rapaport...June 16, 2005) GIA Gem Trade Laboratory will present the GIA Diamond Cut Grading System at the Diamond Manufacturers & Importers Association of America meeting on June 23, 2005, at 5:30 p.m. Members of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York and the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association are invited to join the meeting, which will be held at Shaan of India Restaurant located at 57 West 48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in New York City.

Attendees can expect: An overview of the new GIA diamond Cut Grading System, which includes a review of the research used by GIA to develop the system; a description of the cut quality components considered by the system; examples of round brilliant diamond proportion sets and the grades they would receive in the new GIA system; information on GIA's planned cut software and support products; and updates to GIA grading reports.
