Salant Acquires its Partnership with Fabrikant

RAPAPORT... The Salant family announced the acquisition of the  Fabrikant & Salant Group partnership and Salant will change the company name to Salant Group Ltd.

Fabrikant & Salant Group was established in 1986, as a partnership between M. Fabrikant & Sons (based in New York City since 1895) and the Salant family of Israel (active since 1948.) The partnership brought together a vast reservoir of experience and resources.

“The diamond industry has been, and still is, experiencing rapid changes in the business environment,” said Avner Salant, CEO of Salant Group.  

“To keep our leadership we must adjust our business model accordingly. We are very excited about this change and believe it will provide Salant Group with many opportunities.” 
 
The partnership became a Diamond Trading Company sightholder  in 1990.
