RAPAPORT... The Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council (JCOC) will premier its Internet TV venue on August 1, 2007. The website (http://www.jcoc.tv/) currently has a few introductory videos hosted by Liz Chatelain, president of MVI Marketing Ltd., and JCOC.tv.
Chatelain says of the upcoming launch -- that JCOC.tv will become a streaming public relations machine for the jewelry industry. Gem, jewelry, and watch retailers, manufactures, and service providers, wishing to promote themselves to consumers can upload video(s) at JCOC.tv for free and post as often as they want. Chatelain added that for those interested in exposure for the official launch, videos must be uploaded by July 23, 2007.
“It’s T.V. on the web, and we are in the entertainment business,” said Chatelain. Videos should stimulate consumers to shop at a given retail outlet. Video(s) may be entertaining, educational, commercial, interview style, special events, How-To, or silly just as long as they are interesting and fun to view. JCOC.tv capped the video time at 20 minutes.
JCOC.tv will be a non-commercial site, and is part of the JCOC, a research division of MVI Marketing.
