RAPAPORT... De Beers Diamond Jewelers opened its fifth store in the United States at Tysons Galleria in the Washington, D.C. area.
The store, which started trading on November 23, covers a 2,082 square feet area, and follows the 2005 launches in New York and Beverly Hills; and the 2007 new store openings in Las Vegas and Houston.
De Beers said, in a December 4, 2007 statement, that the new store would feature new collections by De Beers creative director, Raphaele Canot, including his Ice on Fire, Secrets of the Rose, Talisman, and Radiance pieces.
The Tysons Galleria store features open spaces, ebony walls, etched glass paneling, and a VIP room for private presentations, De Beers said.
