Sightholders 2008-2011

RAPAPORT...The following 72 companies have confirmed to Rapaport News that they received sightholder status from the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) for the contract period 2008-2011. The final DTC list will be released in March 2008, pending a third-party verification of each company's business plans. While some companies may yet be cut, none will be added.

In total, 75 companies received a London or South African sight. Combined with the sightholder lists for Botswana (16 companies) and Namibia (11 companies), DTC’s global network of clients includes 79 individual companies – just four companies on the Botswana and Namibia lists did not also get sights in London and South Africa. The Namibia and Botswana lists are final.

In the previous DTC contract period, there were 93 sightholders. The new numbers indicate that the DTC dropped 20 sightholders and added six new ones to arrive at 79 for the next contract period.Three of the new companies are from India, two from Israel and one from Canada.
