As I recall Zale Corp purchased a 850CT. rough diamond in the late 1980 or early 90s and cut it into a shield cut of over 400cts.The price was about 1.2 million This diamond was certified fancy yellow by GIA if a recall correctly. In the late 90s the stone was auctioned at a starting price of 8 million but there were no takers. The stone was cut by the premier diamond company which were partners at the time with Glick. I am not sure that the statment in your artical is correct about the Rosy Blue diamond being the largest Fancy Yellow.
