MVI Marketing to Offer Web Services to Jewelry Industry

RAPAPORT... MVI Marketing, parent company of the Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council, the Jewelry Industry Opinion Council and JCOC.TV, has bought a stake in web development company ITECH Solutions for an undisclosed amount.

MVI chief executive officer, Marty Hurwitz, said the acquisition would enable MVI to offer web development services to companies in the gem, jewelry and watch industries.

"Now any size company in the gem, jewelry and watch industries, from small retailers to large manufacturers, can work with us in developing their web presence, marketing efficiency and interactive community building," Hurwitz said.

MVI said it has started working with ITECH on several web development projects for jewelry manufacturers and retailers, including on complex website components. These include inventory management and integration, search engine optimization, customer relationship management, e-commerce and shopping cart solutions, newsletter development and deployment, integrated customer satisfaction research studies viral marketing, adword campaigns, banner development and placement and affiliate relationship management.

"This trend toward online research and shopping is not going away,” Hurwitz explained. “In an increasingly tougher competitive environment the jewelry retailer, designer and manufacturer must learn to embrace the offerings of the web and utilize them to their advantage.”
