RAPAPORT...  The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection has opened a bidding process in search of jewelry appraisal services. Bids will be accepted through November 9, 2009.

According to the Federal Business Opportunities website, DHS Customs and Border Protection are taking this action to improve vendor access to and awareness of such requests and also to improve the agency's ability to gather multiple, competing, real-time bids.
