RAPAPORT... Birks & Mayors has hired TD Retail Card Services to administer its private label credit card program for U.S. stores operating under the Mayors brand, having formed a similar agreement for it stores in Canada this past January. Under the U.S. agreement, TD Retail Card Services, a business unit of TD Bank, will direct all facets of the program for the 30 Mayors stores, which are located across Florida and Georgia and include five flagship locations in Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood.

Mayors cardholders will continue to have a number of financing options, including interest-free and low-interest offerings, as well as a customer loyalty rewards program and a variety of special incentives and services. Cardholders will retain the benefits of free jewelry cleaning, gift certificates for their birthday, free deliveries, free engraving of up to ten characters with any purchase of $200 or more and advance notice of all special events, promotions and sales held at Mayors.

TD Retail Card Services administers the private label credit card program for 37 Birks stores throughout Canada and the retailer’s website, www.birks.com.
