RAPAPORT... Tiffany & Co. opened a 6,400-square-foot store in Shanghai's Hong Kong Plaza, located on historic Huai Hai Road, one of the city's most popular destinations for luxury shopping, as well as a business and financial services center.

The two-level store features an exterior with the same architectural details as Tiffany's famous New York store and an interior adorned by a crystal chandelier, stainless steel framed showcases and vitrines, custom furnishings and wall coverings and a private sales salon. Concurrent with the Hong Kong Plaza opening, Tiffany is opening a store at the new IFC mall in Pudong for a total of four Shanghai stores.

"Hong Kong Plaza is the ideal location for a new Tiffany store," said Rebecca Ip, the vice president of Tiffany & Co. for Greater China.
