RAPAPORT... Bollywood star Katrina Kaif on Monday unveiled the new logo of Nakshatra, a diamond jewelry brand from Gitanjali Group, and its latest brand campaign Glow Divine in Mumbai.
Enhancing the existing and emerging awareness of Nakshatra, the new campaign and identity aims to recreate the heavenly hues and the divine glow connecting the brand with the inner beauty that every woman radiates, the company stated.
"The introduction of a new brand identity and logo simply enhances the divinity and immortality that Nakshatra represents; making each woman feel special and divine...," said Kaif, the brand ambassador of Nakshatra. Kaif is pictured to the right, holding a new piece from the latest Nakshatra jewelry collection along with Sushil Sharma, the vice president of international business at Gitanjali.
"It not only reflects but profoundly enhances the brands core values and the new avenues that we intend to venture into,” said Shardah Uniyal, the vice president of marketing at Gitanjali Group, on the rebranding initiative.
Nakshatra was first launched in 2000 as an initiative of the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), but the brand was subsequently taken over by the Gitanjali Group. In September 2011, the Nakshatra brand was valued at $188.5 million (INR 10.14 billion) in a brand valuation carried on behalf of the company by London-based Brand Finance Plc.
