RAPAPORT... Botswana Diamonds has recovered two additional diamonds from its on-going sampling program at the Libongo palaeoplacer project in Cameroon.

The company recovered a 0.25-carat near gem-quality stone and a 1.30-carat industrial-quality diamond. Botswana Diamonds, which had earlier recovered a 2-carat, low-value, near gem-quality diamond at the Libongo, expects its sampling program to be completed within a few weeks.

“This is further evidence that our Libongo license ground contains diamond-bearing rock similar to that being mined close by, and that this project has the potential to deliver value to our shareholders," said John Teeling, the chairman of Botswana Diamonds. "The next steps are to undertake a bulk sample to identify grade per tonne and value per carat and to run a scoping study on the feasibility of the project.”
