RAPAPORT... World Trade Jewelers collaborated with Hasbro Inc.  to create and distribute special jewelry designs that replicate select Hasbro-related themes from popular games such as Scrabble, Candy Land and My Little Pony. These jewelry pieces will be offered in time for Christmas season 2013 through a network of 10,000 brick-and-mortar retail partners and associated ecommerce websites. World Trade Jewelers defined the audience for this jewelry collection as global and broad, but its target segment is within the 24-year-old to 34-year-old female U.S. demographic.

Nonetheless, these pieces should represent fresh and colorful fun for any age, according to the manufacturer. World Trade Jewelers also manufactures  Hershey’s Kiss® pendants, bracelets and earrings and the Sweethearts® Jewelry collection.diamonds, hasbro

“Jewelry retailers will recognize the power of Hasbro’s highly popular brands and see this as a huge opportunity,” said Murray Shabot, the CEO of World Trade Jewelers.  “Hasbro’s branded properties are legendary and proving extremely popular within our jewelry creations. Consumers of all age groups immediately recognize the Candy Land, Scrabble and My Little Pony iconography and will now be able to wear their favorite designs and themes within our licensed jewelry collections.”

Simon Waters, the senior vice president of global brand licensing at Hasbro, said,  “We selected World Trade Jewelers because they have expertise in developing superior quality jewelry in a multitude of metals, fashion-focused color accents and price points – all aligned with complete marketing services. We believe fans of our beloved brands will enjoy this jewelry for many years to come.”

World Trade Jewelers will introduce Scrabble initial pendants, bracelets and cufflinks  in solid sterling silver featuring white or black diamonds, or an actual Scrabble tile in bright birch or warm mahogany wood, framed within sterling silver or 14-karat gold. The jewelry collection will debut in the fourth quarter of 2013.

From Candy Land, often referred to as a child's classic “first board game,”  jewelry designs will feature cupcakes that open to a surprise locket and a lollipop in swirls of glossy enamel and encircled with colored diamonds. This board game also offers bright colors to incorporate into the pieces such as cherry red, peppermint green ice cream and chocolate - anything. This collection is due for release in October.

Since 1983, My Little Pony has represented  fun, friendship and joy to millions, according to Hasbro. This franchise was further strengthened by a relaunch in 2003 and through the animated series  ''My Little Pony Friendship is Magic''  produced by Hasbro Studios for the Hub TV Network. The jewelry collection is due in stores in October.
