WIPO Publishes Patent for Jewelry Setting, Diamond Pendant Assembly

RAPAPORT...   The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) published the bibliographic information on April 3 for the patent "Jewellery Setting, Diamond Pendant and Assembly Method Therefor," filed by Lu Linqiang of China on August 8, 2013. The acting agent for the patent is CHOFN Intellectual Property of Beijing and the filing application number is PCT/CN2013/082539.   jewelry setting patent

According to the patent's abstract, the setting is comprised of a base and an upper cover; the base (101) is provided with a recess used to  accommodate an object, in this case a diamond, while  the upper cover (104) is provided with an opening that is used to display the object. The upper cover and the base are detachable and can be used to fasten the object in the recessed portion.

The abstract stated that the jewelry setting could be conveniently assembled and disassembled, used for bearing ornaments of different sizes, such as gems, crystals, colored stones and jade articles, and it is sturdy as well as  aesthetically tasteful with  good usability.  View the entire documentation.
