GSI Conducts Third Annual 'Clean Streets' Initiative

Press Release: The Clean Streets campaign that started in 2012 is an anti-litter initiative of Neeta Shah's, the vice president of the Gemological Science International (GSI) and Bandra resident. Once again the center of the campaign was Turner Road in Bandra. The aim was to make Mumbai’s Turner Road the cleanest street in the area and to serve as an example for others to follow. The campaign reached out to jewelry retailers and others in the vicinity.  GSI involved the community in the environment cleansing campaign to indoctrinate  a sense of responsibility in individuals to keep the city clean and to encourage them to place rubbish in proper receptacles.  clean streets campaign

GSI believes that  improving environmental conditions enhances the quality of life and cultivates pride. The responsible jewelry retailers that helped were Anmol Jewellers (Tushar Shah and the sales team), Gehna Jewellers (Sunil Datwani and the sales team), Charu Jewellers (Alpesh Desai and the sales team), Popley (Niddhi and the sales team), Deepchaand Sons (Raju Deepchaand and the sales team) and A. A Motiwala (Mustafa Bhai and the sales team). GSI appreciates all the help and support offered for the cause.

Shah urged everyone to be more conscious and thoughtful about their actions.

GSI's CEO, Mark Gershburg, added, “Events like this help to educate the society and spread awareness about protecting the environment. We’re very proud to have GSI employees volunteered for the campaign.”
