Press Release: The Natural Color Diamond Association (NCDIA)  announced its 2014 board of directors and executive officers as follows:

• Jordan Fine of JFine Inc. – president
• Alan Bronstein of Aurora Gems – vice president
• Breanne Wittrock of Gundersons Fine Jewelry – vice president
• Jeffrey Post of Gem Platinum – secretary treasurer
• David Shara of Optimum Diamonds
• Sean Moore of Borsheims
• Brian Denney of Denney Jewelers

Along with the announcement of the executive officers, NCDIA announced the creation of all new committees:

• Educational Committee – chair Bronstein
• Educational Committee – chair Shara
• Legal & Finance Committee – chair Post
• Membership Committee – chair Wittrock
• Marketing Committee – chair Fine

Unlike other associations whose membership has declined, NCDIA has been growing globally in terms of the number of retail and trade members. New members including  David Yurman, Tappers, Traditional and Hartmanns in Denmark expand existing membership, which is comprised of organizations such as Argyle Diamonds and Borsheims. Natural color diamonds have played an important role in the jewelry industry and the NCDIA is the only association serving this segment.

“It is a honor to work with such an enthused and dedicated board who are all experts in natural color diamonds. The new board combined with a growing interest in natural color diamonds will place the NCDIA at the forefront of the industry associations,” said  NCDIA's director, Gino DiGeso

DiGeso noted that NCDIA is set to announce an exciting expansion to its educational program at the upcoming September Hong Kong Gem Fair, where NCDIA will have a presence as it expands the association’s reach beyond the U.S.

Bronstein said, “Natural color diamonds are the world’s most rare and precious gems and despite being a niche organization, NCDIA provides an amazing service to its members in terms of marketing, education and networking.”

Wittrock added, “Our industry is in need of a much better understanding of what natural color diamonds are and I am honored to be part of this mission in helping NCDIA broaden its educational outreach.”

Post said, “I want to thank the members and the board for their support as we continue to guide this organization forward to greater appreciation and awareness of what the NCDIA can and will do for our industry.”
