MJSA's Board Appoints Arnold as Chair

RAPAPORT...  MJSA elected Ann Arnold as the chairperson of the board of directors, succeeding Edward N. DeCristofaro, who is now chair of  the MJSA Education Foundation. Arnold, a CPA, currently serves as chief strategy officer of the Buyers Intelligence Group and previously worked at Lieberfarb for 20 years in senior roles. Arnold joined the MJSA board in 2006 and she has also served on the association's executive committee as first treasurer and then vice chair since 2010.

Arnold stated that she recognizes how the definition of manufacturer has evolved and now pertains to many retailers as well. "Especially with the growth of customization at the retail level, the benefits and offerings of MJSA are today, more than ever, relevant to the industry as a whole,” she said.

In addition to MJSA, Arnold has served as president of the national board of directors of the Women's Jewelry Association (WJA), president of the WJA Scholarship Foundation, she is a member of the executive board of the Jewelers Board of Trade and the treasurer of the 24 Karat Club of New York. Her honors include the distinguished Women's Jewelry Association Award for Excellence in Manufacturing.

MJSA also appointed Steven A. Cippola, the president of National Chain Group in Warwick, Rhode Island, to the position of vice chair on the association's executive committee. Lee Krombholz, the president of Krombholz Jewelers and Just Like You Designs in Cincinnati, was reappointed to a second three-year board term and John Antonacci, the director of sales and marketing for Advanced Chemical Co. in Warwick,  was elected to the board for a three-year term.
