RAPAPORT... UBM Asia Ltd., Taiwan Branch and the Taiwan Jewelry Industry Association will host the third Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair from November 20 to 23 at the Taipei World Trade Center.

The Yamanashi Crystal Art Sculpture Cooperative of Japan invited its sculptor members to exhibit at the show. In addition, local jewelers from Taiwan will also have collections on display.

Designer Shih Chin Tiao, who was featured on the 2015 Chinese New Year show program, "Treasure Hunt,"  will exhibit his jewelry brand "Atlen," UBM stated. Tiao was once an apprentice from the countryside, who became a successful jewelry designer.

Designer Tsai An Ho, who has been perfecting the use of  different materials for his jewelry art, mainly titanium and karat gold, will present his designs at the show. He is also actively training goldsmith apprentices to pass on his craftsmanship to the next generation.

This year, UBM Asia will co-organize the "2015 Goldsmith Contest" at the show. The government and The Taipei Jeweler's Association will choose five top goldsmiths  whose works will be displayed at the Fair, where the first-place prize will be decided. Meanwhile, the Taiwan Creative Jewellery Designer Association will be hosting a jewelry design contest with the topic of "BRIDGE," to award  creativity, vision and technique.
