ALROSA, AWDC Hold Exclusive Networking Event in Moscow

RAPAPORT... ALROSA and
the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) held an exclusive networking event for
dignitaries and ALROSA clients at the residence of the Belgian ambassador to
Russia, Alex Van Meeuwen, according to an ADWC statement December 10.
The gathering
was attended by the Governor of the Province of Antwerp, Cathy Berx; ALROSA’s
president, Andrey Zharkov; representatives of the AWDC board of directors, Ramesh
Patel and Jacques Weisz; representatives from Gokhran, Russia's state precious metals
and gems repository; and several senior officials from the Russian government.
All ALROSA’s long-term clients were also invited.
Some 33
Belgian companies travelled to Moscow for the event, including 15 long-term
contract holders. Antwerp is home to 17 of ALROSA’s 47 long-term clients.
