RAPAPORT... Lucapa Diamond Company achieved an average price of $1,868 per carat at a sale of rough diamonds from its Lulo mine in Angola.

The miner garnered $4.1 million (AUD 5.3 million) for a parcel of 2,209 alluvial diamonds, bringing total sales for the year to date to $32.1 million.

The next sale is scheduled for October and will feature the 104-carat and 172-carat diamonds recovered earlier this month in addition to run-of-mine production.
