RAPAPORT... Sarine Technologies named David Block as its new chief executive
officer after Uzi Levami stepped down for personal reasons.
Levami (pictured, right), 65, has been group CEO for eight years, a period in
which he presided over dramatic growth and expansion, according to the
company. He will continue serving as an executive director and as a director of
all of Sarine subsidiaries. Sarine is a supplier of diamond-mapping equipment.
Block (left), who will take over on May 1, has been the group’s
deputy CEO and chief operating officer since 2012 and was previously deputy CEO
and vice-president of sales and CEO of Sarine India.
“David has been key in the successful rollout of the Galaxy
family of inclusion-mapping systems and the definition and initial positioning
of the Sarine Profile and its components,” the company said. “With the launch
of the group’s new technologies for automated grading of clarity and color, we
are confident Mr. Block will lead the group to new growth in new markets.”
