This spring, Sotheby’s will auction what it claims is Patek Philippe’s most complicated watch.

The pocket watch, the Calibre 89, is estimated at $6.4 million to $9.9 million, the auction house said in a recent statement. The timepiece, which took Patek Philippe almost 10 years to build, was unveiled in 1989 to mark the 150th anniversary of the iconic Swiss watchmaker.

The yellow-gold watch has 33 complications, or features other than the time display – nine more than the brand’s Henry Graves Supercomplication, which Sotheby’s sold for a world-record $24 million in 2014.

The Calibre 89 will lead Sotheby’s Important Watches auction in Geneva on May 14.

“This is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary timepieces we’ve ever had the privilege to offer,” said Daryn Schnipper, chairman of Sotheby’s international watch division.
