ALROSA Board Backs Ivanov as President

RAPAPORT... ALROSA’s supervisory board approved the appointment of Sergey
Ivanov as president in a vote on Monday.
Ivanov, 36, will serve a three-year term as president of the
world’s largest rough-diamond producer by volume.
Fluent in English and German, Ivanov – the son of a former
Kremlin administration head – was vice president, first vice president and
deputy chairman of Gazprombank between 2005 and 2011, and chaired the board of SOGAZ from 2011 to 2016. Since April 2016,
he has been senior vice president and head of welfare management at Sberbank.
