Alrosa’s board has re-elected Russian finance minister and economist Anton Siluanov as chairman for a third term, the miner announced last week.

The board also selected Yegor Borisov, head of the Republic of Yakutia, as first deputy chairman, Alrosa said. Alexander Galushka, minister for the development of the Russian Far East, remains as deputy chairman.

Shareholders voted in favor of the new board at a general meeting on June 30. The supervisory body, which controls the company’s operations, has 15 members, of which four are independent.

Siluanov was first elected to the chairman role in July 2015, and received backing for a second term in August last year.
