RAPAPORT... The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) have agreed to collaborate to improve corporate social responsibility and promote high standards in the jewelry trade.

Under the memorandum of understanding, the groups will strive to educate the industry on sustainability efforts and ethical business practices. The groups will also develop programs to promote responsible business through industry events.

“Together, the DMCC and RJC can leverage each other’s knowledge and expertise regarding the challenges and issues the industry faces to instill a responsible supply chain and promote consumer confidence in the watch and fine jewelry industry,” said Andrew Bone, executive director of the RJC (pictured).
