RAPAPORT... Laurence Graff's FACET (For Africa's Children Every Time) Foundation opened its second Graff Leadership Centre in Mochundi, Botswana in partnership with Stepping Stones International (SSI).
The center is dedicated to creating a supportive environment through innovative educational and psychological support programs for vulnerable youths of 12 to 18 years of age. It will host the ''Finding the Leader Within'' leadership program and will focus on empowering youth to become productive members of society.
P.H.K Kedikilwe, Botswana's minister of minerals, energy and water resources, officiated at the opening event, which was held this past week and was joined by Eric Molale, the private secretary to the nation's president. Other attendees included ministerial leaders, village Chief Poni, participants in the leadership program, community and business leaders and representatives from SAFDICO and SSI's partners.
The new center will benefit more than 500 vulnerable children, youth and their caregivers, and community stakeholders, with outreach to 6,500 youths in schools, grandmothers and community leaders, Graff explained.
