RAPAPORT... Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen secured a product placement partnership with Universal Pictures for "The Bourne Legacy" film that will open August 10. The leading man, Jeremy Renner's character, Aaron Cross, dons an IWC Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph Edition TOP GUN (IW 379901), exemplifying the thrill-seeking lifestyle of this elite agent. The watch case, with its 46-millimeter diameter, is made of black high-tech ceramic; the crown, push-buttons and back cover are made of matte gray titanium. Powered by the 79230-caliber chronograph movement, IWC stated that the watch embodies its expertise in the creation of pilot's timepieces. This watch is the predecessor to the current IWC Pilot's Watch collection including the Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Miramar and the Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN.
