Namdeb CEO Leaves Post for Government Position

RAPAPORT... Inge Zaamwani-Kamwi, the CEO of Namdeb Holdings, will leave her post at the end of July, the company announced. Namdeb,  the diamond-mining joint venture between De Beers and Namibia, added that it will announce Zaamwani-Kamwi's replacement in the near future. 

"Inge has transformed Namdeb into an iconic national company, cementing its position as the single biggest contributor to the Namibia treasury," said Elijah Ngurar, the chairman of Namdeb. "The board of Namdeb Holdings is grateful to Inge for her significant contribution to the success of the company and wishes her every success in her new role."

Zaamwani-Kamwi will serve as a public sector adviser to Namibia's president.
