JCK Accolades Honor Innovative Designers

RAPAPORT... JCK presented awards to winners of two design competitions
during this year’s Las Vegas show.
Seven jeweler designers received a prize at the Luxury
Design Awards, honoring designers and manufacturers who are innovative and
original, while displaying imagination and excellence in craftsmanship, JCK
said Monday.
Luxury partnered with six jewelry retailers to select
winners for each category. All honorees receive a trunk show at the retail
store that represents their category, as well as media coverage through JCK.
Meanwhile, JCK presented the Design Center Editor’s Choice
Awards to exhibitors who combine new trends with classic ideas. Designers
submitted one piece that best represents their brand. The entries were reviewed
before the show by a panel of editors from consumer and trade publications,
who voted for their first, second and third choices. The top three in each
category could display their pieces in person in the press office during the
JCK show.
