RAPAPORT... Gail Golberg will take the helm of the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) following the election of the trade body’s new board of directors.

Golberg, who will succeed Marco Miserendino as chair, will take over for the 2020-to-2022 term, CJA said Tuesday. The owner of Custom Creations by GG, Golberg previously served as first vice chair of the CJA board, president of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), and director of sales at Diarough Canada.

Other members of the board include Miserendino, who is CEO of Bijouterie Italienne, and first vice chair Angela Betteride of Angela Betteridge Jewellery. Stephen Cole from Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers will become second vice chairman, while Kevin Kaye will be the organization’s treasurer.
