Mumbai Gem Center Rebrands as IIG

RAPAPORT... India-based Shreeji Rajendra Diamond Classes
(SRDC) has changed its name to the International
Institute of Gemology (IIG), reflecting the global focus of its educational
courses, it said last week.
The gemological center also inaugurated its
new Panchratna Building location in the Opera House area of Mumbai in a
ceremony on July 19.
“The
new avatar of our prestigious institute, IIG, represents our efforts to provide
each student with the latest in international training and technology, so that
the gems and jewelry industry, a heritage sector of India, may be on par with
global standards,” said IIG managing director Rahul Desai.
