RAPAPORT... The Gems Cube Jewelry & Jade Creative Cultural Park, known as Gems Cube, is a jewelry and cultural complex that is due to open in Shenzhen, China in May 2013. Gems Cube was developed by the Shenzhen MKH Group under the guidance of the local Bao’an government in order to support Shenzhen’s growing importance as an international gem and jewelry hub. Facilities include a jewelry and cultural exhibition hall, creative research and development building, jewelry identification center and the Gems Cube Hotel. The Shenzhen MKH Group said the city's population ranks as one of China’s top consuming markets for luxury products. Shenzhen is also the largest jewelry manufacturing and trading center in China accounting for 70 percent of jewelry production and hosting more than 2,300 companies in gemstone cutting, jewelry design and manufacturing.
