Christie’s Geneva will offer its spring sale of Magnificent Jewels on May 15, led by a truly sensational 101.73-carat, D, flawless, pear-shaped diamond along with more than 300 other lots.

Christie's expects the sale to fetch a combined total of about $65 million. Among the great selection of important diamonds on offer is a 76.91-carat, cushion-shaped diamond and an extremely rare fancy red diamond ring. The rich array of exceptional colored gemstones is highlighted by the ‘Star of Kashmir’ sapphire and by a 23-carat fine Colombian emerald ring. Natural pearls are represented by a superb necklace comprised of 23 natural pearls and by the largest pair of natural drop-shaped pearls ever recorded.

Rahul Kadakia, the head of jewelry for Christie's Switzerland and Americas, said, ''A month after the $39.3 million world record sale of the 'Princie’ Diamond at Christie’s New York our Geneva Magnificent Jewels auction offers collectors the opportunity to acquire the finest diamonds, rarest colored gemstones, exquisite natural pearls, and a superb selection of aristocratic jewels.''
