RAPAPORT... Hublot launched the Hublot Design Prize, a  competition  created to enable young, talented designers an opportunity to gain recognition for their innovation.  The prize will be awarded to a young, independent designer for the boldness and creativity of his or her design.

The competition forms part of the watchmaker's 10th anniversary celebration of its iconic Big Bang watch and was launched in Paris on April 27.

A panel of judges will choose the winner in June with the prize to be awarded during Tokoyo Design Week in October. The judges include well-known contemporary design experts such as Pierre Keller, Lapo Elkann, Ronan Bouroullec, Marva Griffin Wilshire and Peter Zec.
