RAPAPORT... Chopard kicked off its partnership with the Happy Hearts Fund overnight during a cocktail party at its New Bond Street, London boutique. Caroline Scheufele, the co-president and artistic director of Chopard, created a special edition of an 18-karat rose gold ''Happy Diamonds'' bracelet featuring a mobile pink sapphire in a heart. While the bracelet is now available in London, chopard london Chopard expects to offer the piece worldwide in the future and pledged EUR 200, or about $262, from the sale of each bracelet, which is priced at EUR 1,200 or $1,600, to the Happy Hearts Fund.

The Happy Hearts Fund is active in seven countries where it has built 72 schools and kindergartens in less than seven years.  Since 2006, programs have benefited more than 44,000 children and 450,000 community members.

"When one is fortunate enough to have a life filled with delights, it is essential to think of others. It is right to help those for whom life is a trial," said Scheufele, pictured on the right side of the photo.

Petra Nemcova (left side of photo) of the Happy Hearts Fund said, "We are so happy to partner with Caroline and Chopard as it will allow us to rebuild more schools for children whose lives have been forever altered by natural disasters and who are often forgotten for many years after first responders leave; allowing us to ensure that generations are not lost because of the lack of educational opportunities."
