UK Jewelry Exhibition Hires New Director

RAPAPORT... International Jewellery London (IJL) has appointed Katie
Morris as its exhibition director.
Morris has been working for Reed Exhibitions, the organizer
of IJL, since 2010, beginning as head of marketing for the group’s London Book
Fair. She became head of buyer programs for IJL in April. In that role, Morris
increased international buyer presence at last year’s show by 15%, the show organizers said Wednesday.
“Katie’s contribution to IJL in the short time that she was
head of buyer programs was very impressive, and I am delighted that the show
will now have the benefit of her experience and expertise as director of IJL,”
said Stella Layton, non-executive chair of the IJL advisory board.
Morris will have overall responsibility for organizing the event, and will assume the new position immediately. The 2019 edition of IJL will
take place from September 1 to 3.
