Lisa Bridge will succeed her father Ed Bridge as CEO of Ben Bridge Jeweler, a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.

Lisa Bridge became the retailer’s first female president and chief operating officer last year. Since then, she has overhauled the jeweler’s image to help it appeal to a newer generation of consumers, the company said Tuesday. She will take over on January 31 when her father retires, becoming the fifth generation to lead the business.

“I am humbled to be stepping into this role, and I am excited to build a bright future with our incredible team,” Lisa Bridge said. “My mission as CEO is to help our customers celebrate wonderfully meaningful and joyful moments in their lives through the power of jewelry.”

As president and COO, Bridge oversaw an enhanced advertising campaign. She has also been managing the launch of Bella Ponte, a collection of customizable engagement rings and wedding bands that will debut over the holiday season.
