Press Release: Dunnedin Ventures announced on Wednesday that that well-known Canadian geologist and diamond mine explorer Charles (Chuck) Fipke has joined the company in an advisory capacity.

Fipke will assist Dunnedin with target evaluation at the company's Kahuna project in Nunavut and provide guidance through kimberlite and indicator mineral sampling and processing using his lab facilities in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Fipke was one of the geologists who discovered Canada's first diamond mine at Ekati in the Northwest Territories. He is an acknowledged expert on diamond deposits and is author of several major scientific publications. His pioneering development of heavy mineral based exploration techniques at CF Mineral Research Ltd. has led to the discovery of many diamond and metallic mineral deposits across the globe.

"Dr. Fipke is an inspiration to an entire generation of Canadian geologists, myself included," said Chris Taylor, CEO of Dunnedin. "His knowledge, insight and tenacity are largely responsible for the emergence of diamond mining as an industry in Canada, and it's our distinct privilege to have his guidance and cooperation at the Kahuna project."

The Kahuna diamond mine project is located near Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. Three main diamondiferous kimberlite dikes, Kahuna, PST and Notch, have been drilled and bulk sampled at the sight . An Inferred Resource released by Dunnedin showed over 4 million carats of macrodiamonds (+0.85 mm) at a grade of 1.01 carats per tonne. The largest diamond recovered  at the sight was a 5.43 carat stone from the Kahuna dike that had been broken during the sample preparation process and was reconstructed as having an original size of 13.42 carats.
