RAPAPORT...  The MJSA Expo New York will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, running concurrently with the JA New York Spring Show, from March 13 to 15, 2016. Organizers of the trade shows  agreed to honor attendee badges from either event, enabling attendees to enjoy access to all exhibitors and educational sessions.

MJSA's president and CEO, David W. Cochran, stated that the opportunity to move from the Hilton to the Javits Center during on the same dates as the JA show "presented a win for the buyers and the exhibitors of the two shows, something we simply couldn't pass up.

"Although Expo has enjoyed success at the Hilton, having it run at the same time as JA New York more than doubles the number of potential buyers," he said. "Given the complementary nature of our offerings — JA New York’s emphasis on fine finished jewelry, our unique focus on supplies to the trade — we expect that, in particular, retailers with manufacturing, design and repair capabilities will now have even more reason to make our shows a destination."

Drew Lawsky, the group show director for JA New York, said, “The co-location of MJSA and JA New York is a natural fit. We feel strongly that having both shows running in tandem at the Javits during our March dates will have a tremendously positive impact on all of our exhibitors and will streamline the process of attending both of these important events.”
