RAPAPORT... Tiffany & Co. says it will bring a new level of luxury jewelery to Auckland when it opens in late 2016, according to a report in the New Zealand Herald newspaper.
The store will occupy 430 square meters, the entire ground floor of the historic building at Australis House at 36-38 Customs Street East, the newspaper reported, citing Glen Schlehuber, Tiffany's Australia vice president and managing director.
"New Zealand is a market that we have been visiting for many years; we have very loyal New Zealand clientele who shop with us in Australia, so it was really a matter of finding the right location and environment for our brand," he said.
Tiffany joins Louis Vuitton, Prada, Christian Dior and Gucci near the Auckland waterfront, the report said.
