RAPAPORT... Bonhams has appointed former Christie’s executive Leslie Roskind as senior jewelry specialist to help build its presence in the US.

Roskind, who will be based at the company’s New York office, has worked in the industry for more than 25 years, the auction house said last week. Most recently, she was responsible for the acquisition and sale of jewels to private clients and at trade shows for Fred Leighton and Windsor Jewels. Prior to that, Roskind spent 17 years at Christie’s in its New York, Los Angeles and Geneva offices.

“[Leslie’s] knowledge and passion for jewels will be a great asset to the company as we continue to grow our sales program in the US,” said Brett O’Connor, senior international jewelry director and senior vice president of US operations for Bonhams.

Roskind will take up her new role with immediate effect.
