RAPAPORT... Sarine Technologies has partnered with 14 diamond manufacturers on its Diamond Journey provenance program, enabling retailers to tap a growing resource of polished stones certified through the initiative.

“We expect to have tens of thousands of documented diamonds by year-end,” Sarine CEO David Block said Monday. “With over 70 million diamonds being processed by Sarine’s installed base of planning systems annually, we expect the program to grow significantly in the long term.”

Sarine earlier this year launched the Diamond Journey program, providing a tracking report that documents the provenance of the diamond from its original rough, to the finished polished or set-jewelry form. With additional manufacturing partners recruited to the program, buyers can select goods that match their criteria from any participating company, rather than rely on a particular supplier, Sarine explained.

Among the approved partners are Andre Messika Diamonds, Ashwin Diamonds, C. Dinesh, Diarough, Finestar, H&A Cutting Works, Hope International, KGK, Moti Gantz Botswana, Rosy Blue, Diarough, Schachter and Namdar Namibia, Shairu Gems, Star Rays, and Venus Jewel. Other suppliers who meet Sarine's requirements will be added in the future, the company said.
