RAPAPORT... Emerald Expositions has canceled its Couture and Antique Jewelry & Watch shows amid restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organizer scrapped the two events due to a government shutdown of unnecessary business operations, a moratorium on large gatherings, and travel restrictions, it said Tuesday. They were scheduled to run from June 1 to 5 alongside the JCK Las Vegas and Luxury fairs.

Many attendees withdrew as concerns surrounding the spread of the pandemic mounted, with companies imposing travel bans on employees due to attend the events. Several key customers, partners and speakers also pulled out.

“These developments have made it impossible to effectively execute a June event that delivers the level of education, connection and value that our community expects,” Emerald Expositions noted.

JCK Las Vegas and Luxury show organizers postponed both events last month. Neither has yet issued an updated schedule for the events.
