RAPAPORT... Hearts on Fire appointed Rebecca Foerster as president of its North America operations, barely a month after the executive ended her tenure as head of Alrosa USA. She replaces Caryl Capeci in the role beginning May 1.

Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook, which acquired Hearts on Fire in 2014, is rebranding the business as Hearts on Fire North America, with plans to boost growth in that market. The division was previously known as Chow Tai Fook North America.

“Rebecca Foerster brings with her an in-depth understanding of marketing in the U.S. jewelry business, and will be invaluable in continuing to build upon Hearts On Fire’s business success while driving a competitive advantage for our retail partners,” said Rita Maltez, global president for Hearts on Fire.

Foerster resigned from her role at Alrosa after the mining company closed its New York office due to the war in Ukraine. She previously held senior roles at Rio Tinto Diamonds, Frederick Goldman, and Leo Schachter Diamonds.
