Press Release: Registration is now open for the 2014 Select By Centurion shows. The season starts in Dallas at the Ritz Carlton September 7 and 8. This is Select’s fifth year in Dallas, where it has become the jewelry show to attend in Texas.

On September 21 and 22, Select moves over to Nashville, Tennessee, where it will take place at the Loews Vanderbilt. Nashville is country's  “Music Town” and also is fast becoming a hub for jewelers to meet, have fun and do some late season buying.

Last stop for Select By Centurion will be at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut from September 28 to 29. New England retailers have embraced the Select Show as their exclusive high-end jewelry show. This is Select By Centurion’s fourth year in the Northeast, serving New England proudly.

Mark Cirone of Cohasset Jewelers in Cohasset,  Massachusetts, said,  “Select is a great regional show where I have been able to find a wonderful selection of merchandise without having to travel to New York or Las Vegas.”

Barbara Parker, the president of Barbara Parkers Inc. of Conroe, Texas, said, “I’ve attended the Dallas Select Show since its inception. Because the date of the show was not long after one of the industry’s largest shows that we had attended, it was unlike me to go to another one so soon afterwards. We decided to go because from the first introduction and invitation, we liked the personal touch of the way our company was invited, telling us up front who some of the exhibitors were, and that the show was in one grand hotel in Dallas, not in two or three different locations.  And a personal touch it was. The great hospitality shown in providing great food and accommodations was unbelievable. The Dallas Select Show gave us a stress-free environment to actually meet the designers and talk to them in a relaxed atmosphere, unlike any other show we had been to. We met exhibitors and designers that we never had the opportunity to meet because of always being rushed from one salon to the other because of time frames. We had time to feel, to touch, to try on, to get to know the pieces that were sold, not to mention the best part – getting to know the owners and the designers of the businesses on a one-to-one basis and learning about their individual style.  And we, as a retailer, had the opportunity to tell the designers about our individual style, how we work, what we do in our company which has been successful for the past 23 years.”

“I support what I truly believe in, and I know with a certitude that exceeds anything I’ve said before that The Dallas Select Show is not only held at the right time, in the right place, with the right people running it, but is also a first class operation with an element of playfulness,” Parker added.  “If you’re a designer, it’s truly the place to be.  If you’re a retailer, it’s truly the place to go.”

Michael Hujara, the managing director of Breuning Inc., said,  “As an exhibitor, it is always a pleasure to be part of the Select Shows. I find that the retailers who attend the Select shows enjoy a very personal and enjoyable buying experience. The atmosphere is very upscale but relaxed and therefore provides a very positive environment.”

Susan Klemt, a principal at Artistry Ltd., said, “As a participant of Select by Centurion since its inception in 2010, we are proud to be members of this organization. Select by Centurion offers vendors an economical way to meet with high-caliber retailers in the various marketplaces.  The classy and open concept venues also offer all participating vendors fantastic opportunities to meet with existing clients and high-quality prospects.”

The Select By Centurion Show is an intimate collection of designers and manufacturers, catering to regional retailers as well as hosted retailers who fly in from all over the U.S. The shows are strategically scheduled in September for late season buying in time for the Christmas holiday season.

There still are a handful of exhibit spaces available for Nashville and Foxwoods this year. For information about exhibiting or retail jeweler registration, call 888.427.4697 and ask for Jack Grafing or Barri Singer. Also visit the web site at www.selectjewelryshow.com.
