RAPAPORT... Peregrine Diamonds reported a base modelled price of $114 per carat for diamonds recovered from its Chidliak Diamond Project in Canada.

Modelled average prices for stones ranged from $94 to $155, the Toronto-listed exploration company said in a statement March 8.

The valuation of 735.75 carats of diamonds was carried out in Antwerp by WWW International Diamond Consultants.

“This result represents the successful culmination of the 2015 Resource Development Program at Chidliak and is further confirmation that Chidliak is Canada's highest potential undeveloped diamond resource,” said Tom Peregoodoff, Peregrine's president and chief executive officer.

Peregrine owns 100 percent of the Chidliak mine.
